1	Purpose of data use	Hanshin Expressway Company, Limited (herein Hanshin Expressway Company) intends for this data to be used by research and development organizations to contribute to the development of basic research, technology and services that will make road traffic more safe, secure and comfortable for the next generation. In the event that the proposed usage does not match with the above use, access to the data may not be granted.
2	User Organization	One application for each research activity or project (herein research project) must be submitted by an institution such as university research facility or corporate organization. Applications made by an individual (or individuals) will not be accepted. We only accept applications sent from an e-mail address with the domain of the representative organization. In case the project will be conducted with cooperation between multiple organizations, please designate a representative organization in charge of the project to submit the application. If the intended usage and intended usage period are different within the organizations, please apply separately.
3	Remarks regarding supplied data	Trajectory data is made with camera footage and in general approximately 100% of vehicles are captured in the data. However, there are cases where calculation errors are present in the supplied data due to the limitation of data generation procedures. The secretariat and Hanshin Expressway Company take no responsibility for damages incurred by the organizations during the use of the supplied data.
4	Prohibition of disclosure of data to a third party	The use of data that we have provided is limited to the direct user ^(organization) as written in the user organization section listed in the application. ^Direct user: the organization that will directly handle the data during the research project.
5	Deletion of data after its usage	Please delete the supplied data with absolute certainty as soon as you have finished using. The data use is allowed for a maximum of two years. Even after the organization has deleted the supplied data, the original data will be stored at the secretariat and Hanshin Expressway Company. In the event that the data is needed by the organization, please contact the secretariat.
6	Publication of outcomes	If the organizations produced any publications utilizing Zen Traffic Data, please share them with the secretariat if the confidentiality permits.
7	Management of results during announcements	When externally publishing results attained through the supplied data, please make sure to credit the source (as Zen Traffic Data) in the document (publications, etc.). In case of academic papers, cite also the URL( https://zen-traffic-data.net). When accepted or published, please send a copy of the documents (publications, etc.) to the secretariat.
8	Intellectual property	Intellectual property rights for items produced by the user organizations using the supplied data belong to the developer. However, when applying for patents for the produced items that have a close relationship to the operations of Hanshin Expressway Company in Japan, Hanshin Expressway Company may request the applicant to discuss the implementation with Hanshin Expressway Company.
9	Application for patents, etc.	If the user organization applied for a patent using the supplied data, and the patent is effective in the vicinity of the business domains in Japan by Hanshin Expressway, please inform the secretariat.
10	Breach of conditions(Penal provisions)	In case the conditions of use for this data have not been followed or the secretariat and Hanshin Expressway Company have discovered a breach of the conditions, the permission for the user organizations to use the supplied data will be revoked and the usage of the data will be terminated. The user organizations may be prohibited from further application for future data updates.
